What is recorded, and why

The account: email address and password (stored encrypted, never readable), or a Google identifier if you sign in with Google (we then receive your email address, and neither your contacts nor any other Google data). The family's language and time zone. The parent code is stored encrypted. Why: to create and protect the account.

Profiles: first name, colour, age range, language. Why: so everyone finds their own games; first names never leave the family.

Games: saves, scores, play time (counted for parental controls) and game error messages. Why: to save progress, show the family ranking, apply the parent's settings, fix the games.

Online play: the player name chosen by the profile. During an online game, the game server receives that name (never the first name or email) and the course of the game; chat messages are filtered and relayed, not stored. A game's data is erased 7 days after it ends. Why: to let friends play together remotely.

Nothing else: no ads, no trackers, no audience measurement, no selling of data.

Legal basis

The contract (the terms of use you accept when creating the account) for everything that makes the service work; the publisher's legitimate interest for security and fixing errors. The account is created by an adult, who consents for the children of their family.

Retention

As long as the account exists. When you delete it (parent area), all of the family's data is erased immediately: profiles, player names, saves, scores, play time. Online game data is erased 7 days after the game.

Who can access it

Only your family, and the publisher to run the service. No other family sees your first names, games or scores; online, other players only see the player name.

Technical processors: Supabase (database, Frankfurt data centre, Germany) and Cloudflare (website and game hosting, global network); Google only if you choose to sign in with Google. When data leaves the European Union, these providers commit to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies and device storage

The site only uses what it needs to work: the sign-in session and a few preferences (chosen profile, sound, language), kept in the browser, and a "usrati-langue" cookie when you choose the language. No advertising or audience-measurement cookies: so no consent banner is needed.

Your rights

You can access, correct and erase your data, ask for a copy, or object to processing: most of this is done directly in the parent area (edit or delete a profile, delete the account); for anything else, write to contact@usrati.games. Reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
